Kirsty and Jane working up a sweat climbing up the Wrekin the hard way.
Near the top. the views would be great if it was not hazy.
We are walking to raise money for Charity. We hope to update the blog in the run up to our walks and then as we stop each night during our walks and share our experiences

The Sun Shines at Last
Well, we have been training for our walk in some very wet weather over the last few months and at last the sun has shone.
With the good forecast we decided to try a longer walk today.
So Jane, Kirsty and I set off from the Licky Hills to reach Clent Hills via Waseley Hills. On reaching the Nimmings visitor center at Clent we had the best bacon butties (a trip to Clent is a must and everyone should try these butties at least once), As we had only walked 7.25 miles we decided we could take a longer route back. This route took us via Lower Clent, Holy Village and Chadwick Manor. We did stop at Waseley visitor center for refreshments as we all needed extra fluids due to the warmer weather.
Well a fantastic day finished with tired legs and the GPS reading a total of 18 miles.
A good work out and let's hope for more of this big bright ball of fire they call SUN.

Super start to fund raising
We have already started to raise money for Cancer Research via sponsorship forms and justgiving.
We have been overwhelmed by the response of our family and friends and can report that we have already reached our original target of £1000 so now hope to raise double that.
You can follow our progress, OR DONATE, with the fund raising on
