Fundraising Starts off well

Just a quick post to update on the total.
Incredibly we have reached half our target already.  £530 at the time of posting + more promised
We  are very thankful to everyone who has given us sponsor money and those who have donated on justgiving you are all fabulous it means a lot to us.
We hope to raise a lot more than our target now but we weren't sure what reaction we were likely to get so didn't set our sights too high.
Thanks again to you all.
Anyone else wanting to donate please do, using any of the methods on this page.

Training has started

Well with so much rain over the last couple of months our training has been limited but the three of us took the opportunity of a gap in the wet weather to do some walking today. Not the longest walk but 10 miles Waseley Hills, Walton Hill. Clent Hills and back.
Even got a glimpse of blue sky.
The views were quite far reaching considering the weather.
The mud on these paths was not as bad as we expected

Our next Challenge is July 2016

Hi Everyone, It's been a while since I posted anything but I now have some news.
It seems a long time since our incredible coast to coast walk in July 2014 so its time for us to start planning our next challenge.
As you all know Jane's family has had awful luck with Cancer and since our walk my father is now undergoing treatment for prostate Cancer, meanwhile my close friend (feels like family) Len Mole is also being treated for the same illness and has been finding it tough going, So again we shall be raising funds for 'Cancer Research UK.' for more info on the charity see the seperate page.

So I come to the challenge:-
Jane, Kirsty and I will be walking the West Highland Way and weather permitting climbing Ben Nevis the highest mountain in the UK on the last week in July 2016. Yes I know that's midge season but we have to go in school holidays.
We walk from Milngavie in Glasgow to Fort William This will amount to
106 miles  not including detours to accomodation etc.
Total Ascent - 21811 feet
Total Descent - 22008feet
The highest point will obviously be Ben Nevis summit at 1344m (4,406ft)

We hope you can spare a donation and the new link to Justgiving will be posted later.
We are not expecting anything like the amount we raised last time but would love to hit four figures thanks in advance for your support.
Regards
Steve, Jane and Kirsty.
